Getting started

Get started with IRIS

Three steps set up your access once. Four more are the working loop with your model. Access is currently arranged with us; write to us and you will receive a welcome message with your login name and a link.

Before you start

You bring your own subscriptions. IRIS works inside them.

    Set up once

    Step 1

    Set your password

Set your own password from the link in the welcome message; no password is ever sent to you. The link works once and expires in 24 hours. Choose at least 12 characters, then sign in at irisos.dev/login with the login name in the message. If the link has expired, ask us for a new one.

    Step 2

    Connect Claude

Add two custom connectors in Claude (web, desktop or Claude for Excel). Each asks for your approval in the browser where you are signed in to IRIS.

    • IRIS https://irisos.dev/api/mcp
The catalog, your models, the workbook you connected, remembering and recalling, Methods and Runs.
    • IRIS book https://irisos.dev/book/api/mcp
Search across every model in your Workspace: what you saved, what you decided, the Methods you kept.

Optional: add the IRIS workbook continuity skill to Claude so that questions about a workbook's past go to IRIS without you naming it.

    Step 3

Install the IRIS pane in Excel

Install the pane once. Download the IRIS pane manifest; in Excel choose Insert, then Add-ins, then My Add-ins, then Upload My Add-in, and pick the file. Open the IRIS pane from the ribbon and sign in with the same login. If you installed an earlier version, remove it and add it again so that Excel asks for the new permission.

    Work with your model

    Step 4

Add a model and open its workbook

Ask Claude: "What models are available, and what can IRIS do for me?" then "Add FSBC to my workspace and give me the workbook." Claude adds your own copy and returns a download link. Open the link in the browser where you are signed in, save the file, and open it in Excel. The catalog shows what each model covers before you choose.

    Step 5

Connect the workbook and turn on memory

Connect the file once. In the IRIS pane press Connect this workbook to my IRIS model and choose the model you added; IRIS checks the file's structure against the catalog original and keeps its first capture. Then press Enable memory so that your reasoning is kept with the workbook. Save the file.

    Step 6

    Work

Work as you do today. Ask Claude what the model assumes and what is judgment. Change an assumption in Excel. Say "Remember why: ..." and press Update IRIS in the pane after you change the workbook; each capture keeps the exact state your reasoning refers to. Saving is deliberate: IRIS keeps a note when you ask it to.

    Step 7

    Come back

Your research is there when you return. Close Excel and Claude, open the file again in a new conversation, and ask "Where did we leave this?" or "What did I save about charge-offs across my models?" IRIS answers from what you kept, names the models it searched, and says whether it saw everything.

    Account, cancellation and help

    Forecast

Forecast, the execution of approved Methods on the same model, is set up with us; ask when you want it. Upgrading does not approve any draft Method; each one is reviewed and approved by you first.

    Cancellation and your data

    Help

Ask Claude "What can IRIS do in this Workspace?" in any conversation. The answer states your tier, your access, what is connected and what IRIS will refuse.
